2022 Antonin Guyon, Meursault 1er Cru 'Les Charmes Dessus'

ABOUT THE WINE
This 2022 Meursault 1er Cru 'Les Charmes Dessus' comes from Domaine Antonin Guyon, one of the most prestigious family-owned estates in the Côte d’Or. Founded in the 1960s by Antonin Guyon, the estate includes parcels in Gevrey and Meursault, with Les Charmes Dessus positioned high on the slopes of Les Charmes 1er Cru, just below 1er Cru Perrieres. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested, carefully sorted, and then fermented in French oak casks at controlled temperatures (64–68°F). Lees stirring occurs twice weekly to enhance complexity. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, imparting subtle oak characteristics.

TASTING NOTES
This Meursault 1er Cru displays a lovely golden-green color. The nose is filled with aromas of honey and a rich mouthfeel with hints of almond. This wine showcases excellent depth, focus, and precision. While delightful now, it can age gracefully for up to 10 years.
