ABOUT THE WINE
In 1960, André took over his parents' farm on the Ardèche plateau. Originally a cultivator of apricots and vines, Andre became one of the first winemakers to plant Syrah between the hill of l'Hermitage and the vertiginous slopes of Cornas. The Domaine extends over several communes, which allows production on various regional terroirs. They adopt an approach and a program that is respectful of the environment and ecosystem of their vineyard.
TASTING NOTES
It is a rich wine with a dark, almost black colour. On the nose you’ll find long, lingering of aromas of black fruits, pepper, and liquorice. The palate is powerful with great structure, with a long, persistent finish, and hints of leather and vegetal undergrowth. Produced on steep slopes, facing south. The vine is protected from cold winds by a natural amphitheater. Traditional vinification, vatting from 15 to 20 days. Maturing in oak casks for 18 months.
