ABOUT THE WINE
Classified as a 2eme Cru classe Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou (meaning beautiful pebbles) is own by the Borie family.The 50 hectares situated in the south east of the St Julien appellation. The vineyards are planted on well drained gravel with stones up to 2.5 inches in diameter and the vines' average age in 2010 was 43 years.

ABOUT THE VINTAGE
A deep and inky purple hue shows that the 2006 vintage possesses incredible intensity and structure which needs time to mellow in the bottle. However, this wine recently entered its drinking window as of 2021 and will be delicious for another couple of decades...
