ABOUT THE WINE

Founded in 1971, St. Francis Winery has been a benchmark for Sonoma County winemaking for over five decades. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon blends estate-grown fruit with grapes sourced from some of Sonoma’s most respected growers. Aged for 18 months in 20% new oak, it’s a wine of balance, richness, and classic California character.

TASTING NOTES

A bold and quintessential California Cabernet Sauvignon. Concentrated aromas and flavours of blackberry, cassis, bramble, and dark plum lead into layers of chocolate, sage, liquorice, and subtle hints of green pepper and toasty oak. The mouthfeel is full-bodied yet silky, with polished tannins and a warm, persistent finish.

FOOD PAIRING

Perfect with Beef Wellington, rack of lamb, or rosemary roasted potatoes. Also excellent with aged cheddar, braised short ribs, or portobello mushrooms with truffle oil.
