ABOUT THE WINE
The 2022 Charles Deloire Pouilly-Fumé is crafted from vineyards planted along the slopes of the right bank of the Loire River, where limestone-rich soils and south-western exposure create optimal ripening conditions for Sauvignon Blanc. The Atlantic winds channelled up the valley lend the wine its signature "gun-flint" minerality — a hallmark of Pouilly-Fumé, one of the Loire Valley’s most esteemed white wine appellations.
TASTING NOTES
Lifted aromas of citrus, gooseberry, and a delicate hint of blackcurrant open the nose. On the palate, it’s crisp and mineral, with layers of stone fruit and refined acidity. The finish is long and refreshing, with a subtle flinty character that enhances the wine’s elegance. A poised, gently expressive Loire Sauvignon Blanc.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect as an apéritif, or served with white fish, shellfish, or light vegetable dishes. Its minerality and finesse make it a refreshing companion for warm-weather occasions.
