ABOUT THE WINE
Domaine Bonnardot is a third-generation, family-run estate in Burgundy, known for its deep-rooted commitment to terroir and environmentally conscious viticulture. Officially certified organic in 2021, the domaine continues to experiment with herbal teas, essential oils, and soil-friendly farming techniques. Led by Danièle Bonnardot, the estate also promotes biodiversity through the care of dry-stone walls, hedges, woodlands, and beehives — ensuring every bottle is an authentic reflection of nature and heritage.
TASTING NOTES
Made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from two old-vine parcels (~50 years old) in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, planted on shallow clay-limestone soils. The nose offers an elegant bouquet of black fruit, rose petals, and hints of spice. The palate is textured and expressive, with notes of blackberry jam and blackcurrant, supple tannins, and a long, peppery finish. A refined and structured organic red Burgundy.
FOOD PAIRING
A versatile pairing for duck, guinea fowl, or pork (especially salt pork with lentils or marinated chops). Also excellent with washed-rind cheeses like Soumaintrain, Morbier, or creamy Saint-Nectaire.
