ABOUT THE WINE
The story of Vinchio and Vaglio Serra is the story of their inhabitants’ love for Monferrato, a difficult and lean land, with steep slopes overhanging vines at the edge of the woods. Despite the challenging landscape, on these hills the sun shines all day long, frost and fog are absent and the rows of grapes only shadow themselves from dawn to dusk. Founded in 1959, Vinchio Vaglio produces exceptional quality wines from this challenging yet rewarding landscape.
TASTING NOTES
A youthful style of Barbaresco D.O.C.G. it has a pleasant fruit forwardness with a tannic finish. A few years from vintage, this wine is beginning to open up and show typical aromas of violet, dried flowers and spices and the nose has a rich and complex aroma with a soft and long finish. A wine for the true connoisseur.

Pasta with meat sauce, braised meat, guinea fowl, game, baciuà (fried pig trotters), mature cheeses.
