ABOUT THE WINE
The Barton family’s Bordeaux roots trace back to 1722 when they left Ireland to establish a new life in France. In 1821, they purchased the Saint-Julien estate, Pontet-Langlois, and renamed it Château Langoa Barton. Spanning 25 hectares, the vineyards are situated inland from the Gironde estuary in the heart of the appellation, benefitting from a relatively cool terroir. With a steadfast dedication to tradition, only 50% new oak barrels are used during winemaking, resulting in wines with exceptional longevity and elegance rather than flashiness. The 2016 Château Langoa Barton, composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc, exemplifies the estate’s pursuit of excellence. This vintage is structured for long-term ageing and is best enjoyed 10-20 years from vintage.

TASTING NOTES
The 2016 Château Langoa Barton reveals a bouquet of blackcurrants, cherries, and plums, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, and a touch of tobacco.
