ABOUT THE WINE
La Dame de Montrose is the esteemed second wine of Château Montrose, a prestigious Second Growth estate in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux. Crafted with the same meticulous standards as the grand vin, La Dame de Montrose offers a distinctive expression of the estate's unique terroir. The 2016 vintage is a blend of 52% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged for 12 months in 30% new oak barrels. 

TASTING NOTES
The 2016 La Dame de Montrose displays a dense, deep colour. The nose is complex, expressive, and indulgent, unveiling aromas of ripe black fruits, liquorice, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full and round, showing good complexity with well-ripened black fruit, liquorice, and vanilla notes. The tannic structure and freshness of the fruit are perfectly balanced, leading to a long and persistent finish.
