ABOUT THE WINE
Château Mauvesin Barton 2019 is a superb representation of the prestigious Moulis-en-Médoc appellation on Bordeaux’s left bank. Owned by the Barton Sartorius family since 2011, this historical estate was reborn with a focus on tradition and elegance. The vineyard benefits from its proximity to the Gironde estuary, producing wines of depth and refinement. The 2019 vintage features a blend of 64% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Cabernet Franc, expertly aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, with one-third being new oak.
TASTING NOTES
A vibrant purple hue introduces this wine, followed by an aromatic nose with delicate woody notes, red fruit, and strawberry. The palate delivers a refreshing entry with bright acidity, a balanced structure, and fine tannins. This vintage promises further development but already provides exceptional drinking pleasure.
