ABOUT THE WINE
The Doublet family has been rooted in the vineyards of Bordeaux since the end of the 18th century, when the Chateau was re-designed after a southern Louisiana mansion. The property was once owned by the famous philosopher Montesquieu, who believed wine helped him think.
TASTING NOTES
Red fruit, dried leaves, with hints of oak before developing into powerful red and sour cherries notes. On the finish the wine has hints of truffles and oak, before softening into a balanced aftertaste.
FOOD PAIRING
Delicious with tartar, grilled veal and lamb cutlets. The wine is a staple for BBQ season on the patio with friends or as a after dinner with hard cheeses.
