ABOUT THE WINE
At the end of the 18th century, the busy streets of Jerez de la Frontera were proof of the bustling activity in the city, which was thriving thanks to the exports of its renowned wines.Juan Sanchez de la Torre established the foundations of the firm Sanchez Romate Hermanos, one of the few remaining wineries in the Jerez Designation of Origin which is still in the hands of local owners.Today, the wines and brandies of Sanchez Romate maintain their international spirit, with a firm commitment to expansion across the rest of the world.
TASTING NOTES
Dry, smooth, with bright amber hues. The lasting fragrance is reminiscent of peanuts. It is made from a Fino which later undergoes a second ageing period, but without the yeast layer.
FOOD PAIRING
We love drinking it with Asian food, asparagus, and artichokes dishes.Perfect as an aperitif, appetisers, cured ham, grilled meats, aged cheese, nuts.
FRIARWOOD SAYS
Perfect for a summer brunch, very cold.
