ABOUT THE WHISKY
Inchgower 14 Year Old is part of the Flora & Fauna series, a collection showcasing some of Scotland’s lesser-known distilleries. Located on the Speyside coast, Inchgower is known for producing a distinctive, robust single malt with a slightly coastal character. This 14-year-old expression reflects the distillery’s signature style, offering a whisky that is full of personality and complexity. The Flora & Fauna range celebrates the diversity of Scotland’s whisky-making heritage, with Inchgower being a hidden gem in the Speyside region.
TASTING NOTES
The Inchgower 14 Year Old opens with a rich nose of stewed fruits, dried figs, and toffee, followed by a touch of sea breeze and subtle spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, offering layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and a hint of brine, with an underlying sweetness of caramel and honey. The finish is long and warming, with notes of oak, black pepper, and a distinctive salty edge that adds to its uniqueness.
FOOD PAIRING
This whisky pairs wonderfully with robust dishes such as grilled meats, rich stews, or aged cheeses. It also complements dark chocolate desserts and can be enjoyed alongside smoked meats or charcuterie. Best served neat or with a splash of water to open up its bold, layered flavours.
