ABOUT THE WINE
Part of the ambitious Bodegas Najerilla, established in 1975, located in High Rioja in Bajo Najerilla Valley. With some vineyards over 50 years old, the winery produce grapes of excellent quality thanks to their strict selection and consistent quality control techniques. Thanks to three generations of committed winemakers, Vega Caledonia wines are highly recognized in Spain for honouring their historic region and their authentic flavour profiles.
TASTING NOTES
12 months in French and American oak, followed by 1 year in bottle, delivered a beautifully classic Crianza. Ruby red in the glass with expressive dark fruit and wood on the nose. The palate offers cherry and dark berry fruit, great body and rounded tannins.
FOOD PAIRING
Pork dishes would work extremely well with this, as well as classic Paella. For a vegetarian option, stuffed peppers with a touch of spice would be excellent!
