ABOUT THE WINE
Connétable de Talbot is the esteemed second wine of Château Talbot, a renowned Fourth Growth estate in Saint-Julien. The 2015 vintage is a blend of 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 15 months in oak barrels, with 15% being new oak.
TASTING NOTES
The 2015 Connétable de Talbot presents a deep ruby colour. The nose offers medium intensity aromas of smoky cassis, earth, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is well-structured with fine tannins, pure fruit, and medium length.
FOOD PAIRING
This wine pairs excellently with robust flavours such as lamb, beef stews, and cured meats.
