ABOUT THE WINE
Roebuck Estates are one of the newer players on the English wine scene (oldest vines planted in 2006), now spanning over 200,000 vines across four sites in the beautiful county of Sussex. With various soil types and plantings, including Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, the team has plenty of elements working in their favour to create award-winning, classic English sparkling wines. Despite being somewhat new, their estate is earning some much-deserved critical acclaim, winning several awards, including Best in Show, Decanter 2020. An estate on the rise!
TASTING NOTES
Crafted exclusively from handpicked Pinot Noir grapes, Roebuck Estates Blanc de Noirs is partially fermented in the finest French oak casks and bottle-aged for a minimum of 48 months. Attractive golden copper hue. A delightful bouquet of ripe stone and citrus fruits lifted by floral notes. Baked apples on the palate, layered with notes of toasted almonds, characteristic of a generous bottle-ageing. A rich yet beautifully balanced wine with delicate bubbles, a silky texture and a long lingering finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Delicious with smoked fish, like salmon gravadlax or crispy fish tacos.
