ABOUT THE WINE
The 2023 Sancerre La Guiberte from Domaine Alain Gueneau is crafted by a dedicated family team: Alain Gueneau and his children, Elisa and Dominique. This family-run winery spans 16 hectares of AOC Sancerre vineyards on the steep, limestone-rich slopes surrounding Sury-en-Vaux, producing wines that capture the unique terroir of Sancerre.
TASTING NOTES
This Sancerre white wine presents a pale yellow color with green and golden highlights. Aromas of tomato leaf, menthol, and nettle evolve into notes of elderflower, citrus, and thyme. The palate is well-balanced with prominent lemon and grapefruit flavors, leading to a long finish accented by hints of pear.
FOOD PAIRING
An ideal pairing for fish, smoked salmon, white meats, and goat’s cheese, this Sancerre also makes an excellent aperitif, enjoyed on its own.
